Prayer for the Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Lord, our Heavenly Father, you are the ultimate treasure of our lives.

In your abundant love, you have gifted us the Kingdom of Heaven – a pearl of great price.

Give us the wisdom to recognize its supreme value.

When the distractions of this world tempt us to settle for lesser things, give us the courage to let go of our attachments and seek your will above all else.

Remind us daily that to possess your love is to have everything we could ever need.

May our hearts be like your Kingdom – open, generous, and overflowing with grace.

 Through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

God, for ever and ever.
